Responsibilities
- Deliver Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT to patients in a long-term acute care context within a corrections setting.
- Implement and adapt treatment plans that focus on mobility, strength, range of motion, gait, balance, and functional activities.
- Monitor patient progress, document sessions accurately, and communicate changes to the supervising PT to adjust interventions as needed.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility safety; select, fit, and train patients in assistive devices as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the care team to support discharge planning, communication with nursing staff, and coordination of therapy services.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license for North Carolina or eligibility for NC licensure
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections setting
- Solid communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Capacity to follow supervision and treatment directives from a licensed PT
- Commitment to ongoing credentialing requirements and professional development
- Willingness to adhere to the assigned shift schedule and facility policies
