Psychiatrist OpportunityNorthern New York – Scenic Practice Setting with Flexible SchedulingA well-established, community-focused healthcare network in northern New York is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join its growing behavioral health team. This full-time opportunity offers a flexible outpatient-focused schedule with light consultative responsibilities and no after-hours call.Position Highlights:Schedule: Flexible, outpatient-based practice with the option to tailor hoursPatient Population: Individuals ages 5 through geriatricTeam Environment: Work alongside experienced psychologists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), therapists, nurses, and psychiatric nurse practitionersElectronic Health Record: EPICDirectorship Option: Medical Director role available for candidates interested in leadership. Duties include: Oversight of a community-based detox clinicCoordination with seasoned PMHNPs and NPs in outpatient mental health and substance use programsInpatient psychiatric consults (as needed) during weekday business hoursManaging coverage for multiple behavioral health sites (e.g., prescription refills, phone triage) during provider time offCall Responsibilities:Call Schedule: No after-hours call requiredConsultation: Inpatient consults as needed during weekday hours onlyPractice Locations:Primary Site: Behavioral health clinic located in Gouverneur, NYAdditional Coverage: May occasionally support providers at other nearby facilities to accommodate PTO or vacation needsCompensation & Benefits:Base Salary Range: $308,000 – $400,700 (depending on experience and qualifications)Signing Bonus: $25,000Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000CME Allowance: $4,000 annuallyLicensing & Dues: $2,000Paid Time Off: 240 hours annuallyMalpractice Insurance: Provided with tail coverageAdditional Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and moreAbout the Region:This northern New York community offers a rare blend of natural beauty, small-town charm, and professional opportunity.
