General Foreman

In this role, your responsibilities will include coordinating with crew members, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your responsibilities will also include assigning tasks, providing guidance and supervision, and ensuring that work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities and essential tasks include:
- Managing projects with a workforce minimum of 50+
- Managing projects with a minimum of 5+ subordinate Foremen
- Effectively communicating and coordinating work and activities with project management team, GC, owner reps, crew members and other trades
- Forecasting training and order manpower, material, tool & equipment needs well in advance to ensure that the proper tools/equipment, materials, information, manpower & other requirements are on the project when needed
- Proceeding with work via written and verbal instructions, plans, drawings & specifications
- Identifying, scheduling and facilitating all jobsite related inspections
- Documenting and reporting all disciplinary issues to HR and implementing any actions or procedures as instructed by HR or supervisor
- Performing 10-5-2-1 on all installation activities
- Completing a weekly SIS (Short Interval Schedule) with a minimum of 2 weeks forecasted
- Participating in daily and weekly team meetings
- Demonstrating strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, basic calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation & troubleshooting
- Possessing leadership qualities to effectively direct a crew
- Meeting or exceeding project schedules, productivity standards & monetary budgets
- Directly responsible for the supervision and management of all employees under his/her jurisdiction
- Evaluating employees under his/her supervision in a timely manner
- Performing other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor
- Ability to ensure a safe workplace, employee compliance with safety and health policy and reduce exposure to liability risks such as theft or damage
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner and to keep both the customer's and company's best interest as a priority
- Embodying Rex Moore's purpose, vision, mission, and values in daily actions, interactions, leading by example and influence others to do the same
- Providing a level of guidance, training and mentorship to all lower-level employees
- Proficient at the interpretation and application of electrical blueprints, internal shop drawings and details
- Proficient at the interpretation and application of architectural, civil, structural, plumbing and utility blueprints
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction scheduling and critical path management (CPM)
- Planning and scheduling work for subordinate supervision, lead persons and crew as needed
- Completing, in an accurate & timely manner, administrative requirements and documentation such as time sheets, labor coding, daily logs, material and tool requisitions, man loading schedules, incident/injury reports & employee notifications
- Proficient at interpreting basic construction related accounting reports; e.g. job cost & risk detail)
- Monitoring labor productivity, quality control and direct the crew in such a manner so as to meet project schedules and production quotas
- Preparing detail drawings for job as needed
- Directing and performing work within all applicable code standards (NEC, CEC, Title 24, Utility standards, City standards, etc.)
- Working with tools alongside crew when required or as directed
- Proficient in digital technology and systems, including computers, iPads, phones, and all job-related software and applications
- Forecasting and identifying training and development needs for all lower-level employees within a timely manner

Regularly exposed to environmental conditions inside and outside: inclement weather, cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals. May be required to function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas of close proximity. Occasionally required to work on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Holds a current General Electrical certification through the state
- At least 5-10 years of related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to sit in a chair.

- Occasionally required to perform repetitive motion tasks such as typing on a computer keyboard and writing

- Occasionally required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions
- Frequently required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs
- Occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs with assistance
- Frequently required to talk, express or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication.
- Constantly required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
- Required to have near and far sited visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to inspect small parts, operating tools, using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication parts.
