About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Credit Execution Team within the Commercial Bank, focusing on the Middle Market segment. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at In this role, you will manage a complex credit portfolio, including Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate relationshipsand be responsible for meeting the long-term financial objectives while ensuring sound risk management. You will serve as a key member of a client’s deal team and will play a critical role in credit underwriting, portfolio growth, and client relationship management, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with internal and external stakeholdersIn this role, you will:Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of highly complex private banking as well as consumer and mortgage relationships within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional areaReview and research business financial statements and tax returns that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factorsResolve moderately complex issues and lead Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team, to meet project deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and mid level managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individualsRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.4+ years of experience as a commercial banking Portfolio Manager, with a focus on Middle Market C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate.Strong expertise in loan origination, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, credit underwriting, and risk analysis for complex commercial businesses.Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
