Salt Lake City, Utah Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Same Day Surgery position requiring prior SDS/pre-op/post-op experience and a UT or compact RN license. Details Ambulatory Care Same Day Surgery (SDS) unit within Outpatient Surgery Services on the 2nd floor of the Main Tower 18-bed unit staffed by approximately 30 team members Patient ratios up to 4:1 Shift scheduled 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, 5 days a week with variable day shift start times No night shift, weekend, or on-call requirements No floating required Uses standard hospital equipment and EPIC EMR All surgical case types performed on the unit Requirements Active RN license (UT or compact) required Current BLS and ACLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior experience working in a Same Day Surgery department required Experience with pre-operative preparation, including IV starts, obtaining vitals, patient shaving, consent, and medication administration required Experience providing post-surgical discharge instructions required IV start and pre/post-operative surgical experience preferred US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care across all phases of same-day surgery including pre-op prep, intra-op support, and post-op discharge teaching Scrubs provided by the facility Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered First-time travelers may be considered These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
