This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category | Prof) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. The Mechanical Engineer as a Professional Grade position.Mechanical Engineer - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services andProvide engineering support for process/mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, utilities, material handling systems, pumping systems, etc.) Identify system concepts and determine system functional and technical requirements. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve problems. Ensure operation within technical and license requirements. Propose and develop improvements including system/equipment upgrades and plant modifications. As Design Authority, prepares system modification input documents, provides technical input (e.g. for procedure development) and approves work packages, and advises operations/maintenance/project management for optimizing day to day operations. Generates facility design description documents and system design descriptions, conducts major technical alternative studies.Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents and process flow diagrams.Engineering services will be provided using Savannah River Remediation Company (SRR) and Savannah River Site (SRS) processes and procedures. Experience with equipment systems in nuclear or hazardous environments preferred. A 40 hour work week schedule as a nticipated for this position. SRR utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes WSRC holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
