Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a 13-week day shift contract at a hospital in Manatee County, FL.

Details

• Day shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• NICU and adult care patient populations
• Drager ventilators used in this position
• Cerner EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital in respiratory therapy
• NICU and adult care experience required
• Drager ventilator experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Active (not pending) RT license required; license required if applicable
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary care
• Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
• Provide hemodynamic cardiovascular support and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months are preferred; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer
• Certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
