Industrial Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports plant reliability by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations.

This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring strong technical ability with PLC-controlled systems, electrical schematics, industrial machinery, and preventive maintenance execution .

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, including PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), pumps, gearboxes, motors, and power systems
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to improve equipment reliability
• Document work performed in CMMS, including parts usage and repair details
• Support safe startup and shutdown procedures for production equipment
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and fellow technicians
• Support safety, food safety, and quality compliance programs
• Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting experience across electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience working with PLCs and variable speed drives (VFDs)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Experience using diagnostic tools and industrial maintenance equipment
• Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking and documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery and shop operations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or CPG environments
• TIG and stick welding skills
• Experience with machining, assembly practices, tools, and fixtures
• Strong understanding of industrial safety and food safety standards

Work Environment & Expectations

• Onsite manufacturing facility (no remote work)
• Must be comfortable working across rotating shifts
• Fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on safety and uptime
• Must have manufacturing experience (food manufacturing strongly preferred)
