Lead Database Administrator

Seeking a hands-on Lead Database Administrator for a full-time remote position who will deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and cloud-native AWS database systems to support development activities and production applications. Key responsibilities: Deploy, support, and upgrade SQL Server instances and cloud-native AWS data services in collaboration with the Systems Engineering team Monitor database infrastructure health and troubleshoot complex SQL Server issues to ensure successful deployments Develop SQL commands and scripts to automate processes and enhance database performance while supporting application design and deployment Required qualifications: 10+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience, including 7+ years managing large production systems 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS database services, including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift Demonstrated ability to analyze performance-related issues using diagnostic tools Experience with database maintenance best practices, including backup management and disaster recovery Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience; Master's degree preferred
