Aloha Non-Emergency Medical Transport LLC is seeking reliable and compassionate NEMT drivers to provide safe and timely transportation for customers to medical appoints, hospitals, dialysis and private events and day programs. Ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. You will be an essential part of the team. Providing compassionate assistance to ambulatory customers or with mobility limitations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently transport customers to and from appointments or events

• Assist customer with boarding and disembarking the vehicle or van using a wheelchair lift if needed.

• Ensure customers safety and comfort during transit including securing customers/wheelchair tiedowns and seatbelts.

• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures while operating company vehicle

• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, conducting daily safety checks before and after shift

• Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record minimum age 23.

• Previous experience as a professional driver, preferably in the healthcare or transportation industry.

• Ability to safely operate a variety of passenger vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vans (willing to train)

• Compassionate and caring demeanor with time effectively to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.

• CPR & basic first aid.

• Pass drug and alcohol test (DOT physical)

• Pass background check and finger printing

• High school diploma or equivalent.
