Principal AI Engineer

Salary: $170,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 8+ years of progressive experience across software engineering, data, analytics, machine learning, AI engineering, or a related technical field.
• We need 1+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying analytical, AI, or machine learning solutions.
• We require practical experience building and launching LLM-based products, generative AI applications, or AI-enabled product features.
• We value a strong grasp of machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, embeddings, retrieval methods, and model evaluation.
• We expect experience with Python, SQL, Hugging Face, Snowflake, and modern ML or analytics tools.
• We are seeking experience designing AI or ML solutions in Azure or similar cloud environments.
• We look for familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, or comparable MLOps and lifecycle management tools.
• We need the ability to turn ambiguous AI opportunities into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
• We want a strong product mindset with interest in customer experience, product innovation, marketing enablement, and business outcomes.
• We value proven ability to mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and establish best practices.

• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Nice-to-have experience includes AI agents or agentic workflows, AI security, responsible AI, model governance, online shopping, customer acquisition, digital marketing, lead conversion, Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, Azure AI services, education technology, training platforms, eCommerce, digital learning, and cross-team AI adoption.

• We lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and machine learning solutions across product and internal business use cases.
• We architect generative AI systems, LLM-powered workflows, agentic solutions, and AI-enabled product capabilities.
• We build and improve LLMOps pipelines that support dependable deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration.
• We collaborate with product, architecture, data, engineering, innovation, and marketing teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• We drive AI innovation in customer-facing products, training platforms, digital experiences, and lead conversion workflows.
• We assess and implement prompt engineering, context management, embeddings, retrieval, and model optimization approaches.
• We design AI systems with feedback loops, automated retraining, fine-tuning, and lifecycle management where appropriate.
• We develop data pipelines and preprocessing workflows that support data quality, security, and regulatory alignment.
• We provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, code contributions, proof-of-concepts, and implementation guidance.
• We mentor AI engineers and partner with architects across application, product, CRM, and data domains.
• We help define standards, documentation, and best practices for responsible AI development and deployment.
• We stay current on emerging AI trends, including AIs influence on digital marketing, Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and customer discovery behavior.
