**Join Our Dynamic Labor and Delivery Team!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Acute Care Hospital - **Specialty:** Labor and Delivery - **Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (05:00 - 17:30) - **Experience Required:** 2 years in Labor and Delivery (3 years preferred) - **Charting System:** Epic - **Trauma Level II Experience:** Preferred - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - AWHONN Intermediate - BLS - NRP - **Certifications Preferred:** - AWHONN Advanced - **Skills Required:** - IV therapy/Phlebotomy - Administration of blood & blood products - Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) - Starting and maintaining IVs - Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care - **Labor and Delivery Management:** - Amnioinfusion - Assist with high-risk delivery - Assist with vaginal delivery - Circulate for C-section - Forceps/vacuum extraction - Hemorrhage/shock - Recover C-Section - Sterile vaginal exam - **Medication & Administration:** - Anticoagulation therapy - Antihypertensives - Antiseizure - Insulin drips - Magnesium Sulfate therapy - Pitocin (oxytocin) - Prostaglandins - Terbutaline - **Neonatal Care in Delivery Room:** - APGAR scores - Collect cord samples - Neonatal Resuscitation - Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation - **Antepartum Care and Procedures:** - Assist with amniocentesis - Triage of obstetrical patients - Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring) - **Postpartum Care and Procedures:** - Baby-friendly protocols - Breastfeeding Support/lactation support - Episiotomy/Incisional Care - **Pain Management:** - Epidural Anesthesia - Nitrous Oxide - Opioids - **Professional Topics and Skills:** - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Vaccine Administration - **Patient Age Groups:** - Neonates - Adolescents - Adults - **Float Required:** Yes (Post Partum) - **Call Required:** Yes - **Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract:** As needed - **Orientation Hours:** 36 - **Guaranteed Hours:** Facility can call off once per two-week pay period **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
