Our client is a leading global Consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex, iconic, large-scale capital projects.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Safety Manager for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to this landmark project that is poised to deliver transformative impacts across economic, transportation, and environmental sustainability.

The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. This is a milestone project that is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

As the Senior Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Responsibilities

• 10+ years' experience implementing, monitoring and managing safety for heavy civil construction programs/projects.
• Experience in employee engagement and soliciting feedback to create change.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• OSHA 30.
• An open mind with the ability to adapt to meet the needs of the work and personnel change.
• Plan beyond compliance, delivering continuous improvement - people don't fit into systems but systems are tailored to the people who use them.
• Ensure best practice to make it easier for employees to be safe; implement innovative work procedures, new tools and materials

Qualifications

• Experience supporting/supervising safety professionals.
• Experience in Federal Transit Agency projects.
• Tunneling experience.
• Relevant degree in Environmental, Health and/or Safety Science.
• Familiarity with transit agencies (Such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak).
• Experience in delivery in programs or portfolios of significant value >$1bn is a significant advantage.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 500.

The estimated starting salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
