We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our 4 North unit, a 24‑bed unit that cares for hematology, chemotherapy and clinical trials protocol oncology patients. Summary Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies, and the ANA code of ethics. Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to personalized patient and family‑centered care based on Duffy’s quality caring model. Position Highlights Provide thorough nursing care to patients and families in a cancer setting. Use the nursing process to plan and manage quality patient care, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational and discharge planning needs. Receive chemotherapy certification classes and participate in quarterly education workshops. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based care. The Ideal Candidate 1 year of inpatient hospital experience. Experience as a registered nurse in a medical‑surgery setting. Strong customer service skills for patient interaction. Responsibilities Assess, plan and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families using the nursing process and integrating patient‑centered care and the quality caring factors. Identify, document and provide patient education based on learning needs. Participate in evidence‑based improvement activities related to the area of practice. Engage in professional development in accordance with nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations. Credentials and Qualifications BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience, or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with one year of relevant experience. Florida RN license. BCLS certification. Salary Range $35.05 – $52.56 per hour (expected base pay; actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education and internal equity).
