Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted; every other weekend required; holiday coverage required; call as needed

Highlights

• Medical/Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 43
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• 24-hour comprehensive orientation to ensure successful onboarding
• EPIC charting system and PYXIS medication management
• Exposure to heparin drips, wound VAC dressing changes, high-flow oxygen, and BiPAP support with respiratory assistance
• Contract extensions available through February 27, 2026
• Required attendance at monthly unit team meetings to promote collaboration and professional development

Requirements

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift positions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must successfully pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability and willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
• Availability to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters as part of Storm/Hurricane Team assignments
