Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Job Description: EHS SpecialistAs an EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Specialist at Brothers Desserts you are the champion that focuses our efforts to achieve the safety mission. The right candidate for this role will be a problem solver who influences people and process to ensure we meet our goals and reduce risk to our employees and the environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and local regulationsConduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsSupport EHS programs (LOTO, PPE, hazard communication, waste management, etc.)Investigate incidents, root causes, and implement corrective actionsSupport regulatory inspections and third‑party auditsPromote continuous improvement and a strong safety culture by leading Safety committee, SLTs (Safety Learning team)Required SkillsAdvanced understanding of EHS, manufacturing, and regulatory practicesHazard analysis and risk‑assessment skillsExcellent communication, coaching and training abilitiesIncident investigation and root‑cause analysisData tracking, report writing, and documentation accuracyKnowledge of food manufacturing regulations (FDA, FSMA, GMPs)Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, QA, HR and maintenance teamsQualifications2–3 years of EHS experience, preferably in food manufacturing or similar regulated environmentKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA/FSMA, and GMP standardsStrong communication, training, and problem‑solving skillsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)Bilingual Preferred: English/SpanishApplicable Certifications would include:OSHA 30 (General Industry or Construction)Process Safety Management (PSM)HACCPCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)First Aid/CPR #J-18808-Ljbffr
