Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) nurse position based in a Level I trauma facility. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a hospital setting with a patient population including neuro, trauma, general, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary cases. The schedule is primarily night shifts, with potential for Saturday and Sunday shifts, requiring prior travel experience in a similar Level I trauma environment. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts may include Saturday and Sunday, with days varying depending on unit needs. Required Qualifications: Certification(s), education, and experience include: a valid nursing license, a minimum of 2 years of operative room experience in a Level 1 trauma environment, prior travel experience in similar settings, and full COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption by the start date. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart, transplant, trauma/neuro cases, and familiarity with robotic and hybrid procedures. Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled on 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/26. No orientation is scheduled for 9/21 or 10/19. Orientation lasts 26 weeks, and minimal time off is permitted; travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 holidays. Time off should be limited to no more than 5-7 days during the assignment. The assignment requires working in an environment with no call duties and may involve floating within the OR department but not across different locations. Travelers must adhere to vaccination requirements.
