Residential & Commercial Loan Originator – Private Mortgage Dept Remote (48 States) Full-Time / Contractor Myers Capital Hawaii is seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Loan Originator to join our Private Mortgage Department. As a premier mortgage brokerage and direct private lender operating in 48 states, we deliver exceptional service and custom financing solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in mortgage origination, strong knowledge of the residential and commercial lending landscape, and a genuine drive to serve clients from first consultation to closing. Responsibilities Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo, and Portfolio products). Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and referral sources. Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data and advise on product and pricing. Gather required documentation and work closely with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely closings. Stay current with evolving mortgage guidelines, industry trends, and compliance regulations. Provide exceptional customer service, keeping all parties updated throughout the process. Qualifications Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain immediately). Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant mortgage origination experience. Proven track record of success in mortgage sales and origination. Strong understanding of Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo, and commercial loan products. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with Encompass (LOS) and modern mortgage technology platforms.
