Revenue Cycle Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle Project Manager to lead a large-scale Epic optimization and "Back to Foundation" initiative. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple Revenue Cycle workstreams, coordinating analyst teams, and driving the successful execution of Epic Foundation alignment efforts across Hospital Billing (HB), Professional Billing (PB), HIM, Coding, Patient Access, and related Revenue Cycle functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT project management, Epic Revenue Cycle implementations or optimization programs, and the ability to partner with operational, clinical, and executive stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes. Epic Refuel programs are designed to reduce workflow variation, align organizations with Epic Foundation best practices, and improve operational and financial performance. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day execution of Epic Refuel Revenue Cycle workstreams. Manage teams of Epic analysts, operational leaders, and subject matter experts responsible for Foundation build alignment and workflow redesign. Develop and maintain project plans, milestone tracking, issue logs, RAID documentation, and executive status reporting. Professional Billing (PB) HIM Coding Claims and Reimbursement Revenue Integrity Facilitate workgroup meetings and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership to prioritize optimization opportunities and Foundation recommendations. Drive adherence to Epic best practices and standard workflows while minimizing unnecessary customization. Manage dependencies across analyst teams, operational stakeholders, training teams, and leadership committees. Coordinate testing, validation, operational readiness, and deployment activities. Escalate risks, issues, and decisions appropriately to governance committees and executive sponsors. Required Qualifications 7+ years of healthcare IT project management experience. 3+ years leading Epic implementation, optimization, upgrade, Refuel, or transformation initiatives. Experience managing large, cross-functional healthcare programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups. Strong understanding of Epic Revenue Cycle operations and workflows. Experience working with HB Resolute, PB Resolute, HIM, Coding, Claims, Registration, Scheduling, or related Revenue Cycle applications. Proven experience leading analyst teams and driving project milestones to completion. Strong executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with project governance, status reporting, risk management, and dependency management. Preferred Qualifications Epic certification or prior experience working directly with Epic applications. Previous Epic Refuel or Back-to-Foundation program experience. Experience supporting Revenue Cycle optimization, workflow redesign, or operational transformation initiatives. Familiarity with Epic Foundation build concepts and Epic best-practice standardization initiatives. PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification. Success Measures Revenue Cycle workstreams achieve agreed-upon project milestones and timelines. Successful alignment of Epic build and workflows to Foundation standards. Reduction in workflow variation and technical debt. Improved Revenue Cycle operational performance and user adoption. Strong stakeholder engagement and executive satisfaction throughout the program. Successful completion of Refuel deployment waves and optimization objectives.
