Registered Nurse First Assistant – Operating RoomSchedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts with on-call responsibilities until 11 PM, no weekends or holidays.Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeksRequirements:RN License (New York License only)CNOR CertificationCompletion of an accredited RN First Assistant courseTwo (2) years of experience in an operating room settingProficient in perioperative nursing practice; scrubbing and circulating experience preferredDavinci Robotics experience required, including but not limited to:Robotic UrologyRobotic GYNRobotic ColorectalRobotic Surgical OncologyRobotic ThoracicRobotic General SurgeryBLS Certification (American Heart Association only) requiredACLS Certification (American Heart Association only) preferredRoles & Responsibilities:Collaborates with the surgeon and healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.Practices perioperative nursing, utilizing acquired knowledge, skills, and judgment in the operating room.Assists in the operative phase of the perioperative experience as directed by the surgeon.Performs duties of an OR staff RN when not in the RNFA role.Maintains professional competence and engages in continuing education as required.
