Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Compact or valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience in PACU or Pre/Post Op - Epic charting experience - Comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed - Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 Description: This position requires supporting patients through all major surgical services. The role involves pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery for both pediatric and adult populations. The department provides pre/post-op care to patients in various surgical settings. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients of all ages in both pre-op and recovery phases. There is a high volume of pediatric patients in this department. Candidates must have experience with regional anesthesia and ECT. Experience in a hospital setting, particularly PPACU, is preferred. Support services include respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy. Floating to pediatric PACU may be required. Patient diagnoses will vary as the unit supports all surgical/procedural populations, excluding critical care services. Experience with Hoyer lifts and bladder scanners is advantageous.
