Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona. This position involves providing specialized care to patients in the telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and interpretation of EKGs. The role offers versatility with floating across various units such as Tele, MedSurg, Neuro, and surgical units, within a healthcare facility focused on acute care services. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications are required. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is necessary. The role is scheduled for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. Position responsibilities: Providing patient care on the Telemetry units, including interpreting EKGs, titrating cardiac drips, and responding to acute events. Floating is required across multiple units such as Cardiovascular (CV) and Neuro telemetry, MedSurg, and observation areas, with notification given 1.5 hours prior to shift start. Flexibility to float between campuses located approximately 9 miles apart is necessary. Additional information: Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract and a pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation. Candidates should be able to respond quickly to various cardiac and general medical-surgical patient needs, including post-procedural and post-surgical care. The unit is 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio, with additional support from charge nurses and PCTs (Patient Care Technicians).
