MRI Technologist Casual Rotating shedule

THIS IS A CASUAL POSITION MEANING THAT THE HOURS PER WEEK ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

The  MRI Technologist   reflects the mission vision and values of NM adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process including screening preparation monitoring and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable).
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system including exam set-up image routing result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values ethical standards and compliance requirements.
• Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging such as radiation safety MRI safety Infection prevention measures safe practices (as applicable to the role) to protect self patients visitors and team members
• Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery
• Supports department initiatives to improve relationships reliability efficiency growth
• Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs
• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the MRI process including screening preparation monitoring and post-procedure care.
• Performs MRI safety screening including implant and foreign body evaluation and ensures appropriate clearance prior to exposure to the magnetic field.
• Enforces controlled access and safe practices within the MRI environment.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy including screening IV access when required monitoring and response to adverse events.
• Safe Operation of MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and Visage including exam set-up image routing result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values ethical standards certifications and compliance requirements.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program 

Certification:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) OR American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) certification within 12 months of hire or 10 years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
