Contract | Days | 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM, Friday / Saturday / Sunday

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
• Administer and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards in an emergency room setting
• Direct and guide patient teaching to promote health education and recovery
• Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice throughout all patient interactions

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior emergency room nursing experience is preferred, though new graduates will be considered
• Familiarity with mandatory reporter requirements for child abuse and dependent adult abuse in Iowa
