Clinical Director

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical services to residents and their families whorequirebehavioral health and wellness services.This individual must be capable of high-level performance in amultitaskenvironment with daily deadlines. This position also requiresabilityto work in a team environment with proven experience mediating issues between different parties using effective listening and communication skills. Mustpossessproven leadership skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to adapt to fastpacedynamic environments. Leads and directs the work of the clinical department staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Overseesall aspects of clinical services and operations. Provides leadership in the development and evaluation of all aspects of clinical program operations. Creates and delivers professional development to clinical and non-clinical staff. Supervises and directs the clinical program and operations to both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure resident outcomes areachievedand standards are met. The Clinical Director maybe requiredtofacilitateindividual,groupor family counseling sessions and completetimelyandaccuratedocumentation. Writes and reviews policies and procedures. Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures. Prepares for and responds to Accreditation Surveys and TheTexasBoard of Health. Recommends budget for clinical staff development and staff resources to ensure adequate funding for delivery of quality services. Overseesandauthorizesclinical services expenditures. Monitors expense budget reports andrecommendsadjustmentsas necessary. Collaborates with leadership to receive input and communicate information relevant to the clinical program and Origins TexasRecoverys operations. Participates in the development and implementation of new services based on need and consistent with Origins Texas Recoverys mission. Deliverspresentationsregarding Origins TexasRecoverys services andrepresentsthe facility at meetings and professional functions. Attend andparticipatein Treatment Team meetings asrequired. Establish work schedules and assignments for clinical staff, according to workload,spaceand equipment availability. Presents lectures to staff and residents on varioussubjectsmatters. Providetimelyand meaningful performance appraisals to direct reports. Will document any electronic medical record in accordancetoCypress LakeRecoverys policies and procedures, as well as in compliance withTexasboard of health services. Supportresidentsin behavioral changes that will provideoptimumhealth. Collect data and informationregardingthe resident from interview, observation, testing, and assessments. Collaborate with other staff members to develop treatment plans and provide theresidentexcellent care. Be able to appropriately assign a resident to integrative therapies that will best support their progress based on their diagnosis. Organize andfacilitategroup supervision for therapists. Support clinical team and therapist byreceive, reviewing, and assessing the needs, complaints, grievances, questions, concerns, ideas, andsuggestionpresented by the therapists.Resolve and answer team concerns, grievances, and questions asappropriate. Creates and delivers professional development to clinical and non-clinical staff. Collaborates with leadership to receive input and communicate information relevant to the clinical program andCypress LakeRecoverys operations.
