Senior Legal Counsel As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be expected to provide professional legal services in a local environment, in order to enable the business unit(s) to achieve the defined business objectives in accordance with standards and goals set by Legal. Day to Day: Legal Counsel will be generally expected to perform the following functions: Analyze business strategy and department strategies and screen for legal opportunities or risks. Deliver input and advice for improvement from a legal point of view. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Develop, implement and maintain high quality contract templates and standards for use. Implement and employ internal controls to monitor and assess legal risk. Negotiate, draft/create documentation and advise the business on end user agreements and vendor program agreements. Work with outside legal expertise and liaise with in-house business and legal experts. Research legal issues related to federal and state lending laws, secured transactions, leasing and collection practices All members enjoy: Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity. Essentials: Undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance or a related field of study. Juris doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school. An emphasis on transactional law / secured transactions is preferred. 5+ (or 10+ for C-III) years' experience in a legal environment as a corporate, financial services or transactional lawyer. Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts is essential. Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Willingness for occasional domestic or international travel (up to 10%). Good to Know: Desired Primary Work Location: Des Moines, IA / Wayne, PA Applicable Pay Range: $144157.60 - $216236.40 DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification. This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies.
