Overview Who we are looking for: An Optometrist passionate about community health and family medicine A healthcare professional committed to working with underserved patient populations Motivated and mission driven clinician who is looking to be part of our growth as well as their own Clinicians whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to integrity, compassion, advocacy, respect and excellence – also known as our ICARE values What we offer: Modern facilities with state-of-the-art equipment serving the needs of culturally diverse populations Interdisciplinary approach to patient care Support staff for each Optometrist include Optometry Assistant & Optometry Technician Exceptional and fulfilling quality of life -Monday-Friday, 8 hr day work schedule, at one location Competitive Compensation package which includes health, dental and vision insurance and retirement plan Paid holidays, PTO and CME Malpractice Insurance coverage Employer sponsored Loan Repayment Responsibilities Practice to the full extent of your license and offer a wide variety of services including: Completing eye exams for glasses and contacts Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and abnormalities Conducting and evaluating diagnostic testing Removing foreign bodies from the eye Writing prescriptions Counseling patients and other health professionals on eye health issues Communicating with doctors, staff, and patients Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree Current CA Optometric License Current DEA Certification The salary wage range that UHC reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire starts at $145,000.00 a year plus bonus. Our competitive salaries are dependent on knowledge, skills and experience. The base pay does not include other forms of compensation and/or incentives.
