Job Summary Assist with the preparation of tax returns, income tax projects, estimated tax vouchers, extension forms, and supporting work papers under the guidance of experienced tax professionals. Organize and maintain client tax files and electronic records while assisting with administrative and task compliance support tasks, including gathering information for billing and other client service needs. Prepare supporting schedules, reconcile client information, and review tax documents for completeness and accuracy prior to preparation and filing. Participate in training sessions, associate meetings, and professional development opportunities to build technical tax knowledge and gain exposure to firm processes and best practices. Conduct basic test research and assist with gathering information related to inquiries from taxing authorities and changes in tax laws and regulations. Learn and follow the firm's quality control procedures, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements throughout all assignments. Collaborate with tax and wealth advisory teams to gain exposure to integrated tax and financial planning concepts and support client service initiatives. Assist with special projects and other assignments that support the tax team and enhance the overall client experience. Intern, Tax The Intern, Tax will assist our team members in servicing high net worth individuals with a focus on personal, fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation, and gift tax returns. The role provides hands‑on learning through real client work, allowing interns to develop foundational knowledge of tax planning and compliance. Required Education And Experience Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an expected graduation date within 24 months of the start of the internship. Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities. Preferred Education And Experience Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. Skills Strong aptitude for working with numbers and performing detailed calculations accurately. Basic knowledge of accounting or tax principles. Eagerness to learn and ask questions in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Able to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals in a professional environment. High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive client information. Strong organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings clearly. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; willingness to learn specialized tax planning and preparation software.
