Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts per week | On-call and weekend coverage required as needed based on department needs

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate across multiple surgical service lines including General, Robotics, Trauma, Bariatric, Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, Pediatrics, Neuro, Orthopedics, Burns, Plastics, ENT, Dental/Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, Vascular, and Transplant — ability to scrub is required
• Provide perioperative nursing care for a diverse patient population spanning neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Support trauma OR operations, including cases involving amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and multiple-injury MVA patients
• Operate and manage surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources, and laser and radiation safety protocols; adhere to Universal Protocol/time-out procedures, infection control standards, and specimen handling/labeling requirements
• Perform urinary bladder catheterization and assist with endovascular and structural heart procedures in hybrid OR settings as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma Operating Room experience — required, hard stop
• Must be able to scrub — required, hard stop
• Teaching hospital experience is required
• Strong General OR and trauma experience required, including robotic surgical experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• Valid RN licensure required at time of submission; Pennsylvania licensure may be required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; local candidates are accepted with a local rate differential applied

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4 years of Operating Room experience preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Vascular and endovascular procedure experience strongly preferred
