Position Overview WBTW News13 is seeking a full‑time Weekend Evening Meteorologist to join our experienced weather team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We are looking for an energetic, accurate, and digitally savvy meteorologist to anchor our weekend evening broadcasts and drive daily weather coverage across all platforms. Key Responsibilities Prepare and anchor engaging weather segments for weekend evening newscasts. Produce content, fill in, and report on weather/science stories three days during the week. Provide urgent, clear, and calm on‑air coverage during severe weather events. Deliver weathercasts on WBTW+, update weather stories on WBTW.com and provide weather content on social media channels constantly. Represent WBTW News13 at public events and school visits. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences. Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of on‑air television weather experience is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern weather graphics systems (e.g., WSI/The Weather Company). Seal: AMS or NWA seal of approval is highly desirable.
