Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Henderson, IN. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a 45-bed medical-surgical floor within a teaching hospital setting. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with responsibilities including managing a diverse patient population and utilizing advanced charting systems.

Job Details

• Position Description: MS RN Days shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, working 48 hours per week with guaranteed hours of 36.
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), NIHSS certification, a minimum of two years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, recent Epic charting experience, and a strong skillset including PIV insertion, chest tube management, remote tele, blood product administration, NIHSS/dysphagia screening, and ostomy care.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves float requirements within the skill set, including potential float to nearby campuses with a two-hour notice, and every third weekend and every other holiday schedule. Limited cross-campus float with notification is possible. The role may include precepting students or new hires. COVID-19 vaccination is not required as of this posting.
