Senior Tax Manager

Position Title: Senior Tax Manager

Location: McLean, VA – Onsite

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $180-200K

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, trust, estate, partnership, and S corporation tax returns
• Handle complex 1040 and 1041 tax matters
• Review 1065 and 1120S returns
• Manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients
• Review tax work prepared by junior and mid-level staff
• Mentor and support the development of less-experienced team members
• Serve as a key point of contact for long-standing private clients
• Assist with long-term client relationship transition and succession planning
• Support leadership with management of an established book of business
• Utilize CCH Axcess and QuickBooks within the tax workflow
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the year
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm’s private-client practice

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong hands-on experience with individual tax returns required
• Experience with trust and estate tax returns strongly preferred
• Public accounting background required
• Experience managing client relationships
• Strong knowledge of 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S tax returns
• Experience working closely with high-net-worth individuals and private clients
