Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient Toddler Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, be skilled at creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, and foster a classroom environment that supports curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage developmental milestones in language, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and cognitive skills.
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes safety, respect, and positive relationships.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Observe and document each child’s growth, development, and behavior.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Supervise toddlers during play, meals, naptime, and transitions, ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times.
- Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, energetic, and able to adapt to the dynamic needs of young children.
All About Children is a childcare facility that is open for extended hours. Our hours of operation is 6 AM to 9PM Monday to Saturday. Candidates are expected to work 8 to 10 hours shift per day. Candidates are expected to work every other Saturday. Candidate will work full time.
