We are looking for a General Service Technician / Mechanic who brings a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset to our team. Key Responsibilities: As a General Service Technician, you will be the backbone of our shop's daily operations. Your primary duties will include: Routine Maintenance: Perform all general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments. Diagnostics & Inspection: Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections. Work closely with the service department to communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions. Team Collaboration: Work alongside a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively. Regulatory Compliance: Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA right-to-know and hazardous waste disposal). Shop Excellence: Maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping functions as directed by management. Qualifications: A positive, energetic attitude and a strong work ethic. Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow. Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the service team. Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Valid driver's license (preferred). Qualifications Qualifications: This is an entry level position. We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required. Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools Walk/stand for the majority of the workday Drive manual transmission vehicles Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment Efficiently navigate a computer Additional Information Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
