The Claims Technician may be called upon to assist the Claims organization with other responsibilities as requested by management. Unless otherwise indicated, all items included in the Outcome Statements are measured by Supervisor's/Manager's observations, quantity of work completed, external and internal feedback and Audits.ResponsibilitiesManagement of all incoming requests or correspondence coming from Insureds, Agents, or Claimants regarding First Notice of LossIdentification of requests to determine appropriate routing of request and/or archival of requestUnderstanding and expertise to execute on assigned Performance Goals via following prescribed training guidelinesAdhere to prescribed productivity standardsAdhere to prescribed accuracy standardsContribute to team meeting service level standards set forth by department leadershipMaintain a professional working relationship with colleagues at MarkelRequirementsHigh School Diploma RequiredStrong written and typing skillsStrong oral communication skillsAdequate in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)Strong Team Player#DEIBUS Work AuthorizationUS Work Authorization required. Markel does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.Pay information:The hourly rate offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
