Small Blessings Preschool (Hyde Park United Methodist Church) – Tampa, FL

Are you an experienced early childhood educator who believes children learn best through play, relationships, and joyful discovery? Small Blessings Preschool is seeking a warm, dependable, and collaborative Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year.

At Small Blessings Preschool, we serve children ages 2–5 in a nurturing, faith-based environment where children feel loved, families feel welcomed, and teachers are supported. We value creativity, teamwork, and developmentally appropriate practices that inspire a lifelong love of learning.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool-aged children.
• Foster a safe, joyful, and inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Lead daily classroom routines while partnering closely with your assistant teacher.
• Observe children's growth and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young children.
• Dependable, positive, and collaborative team player.
• Experience leading a preschool classroom preferred.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred (Early Childhood Education or related field).
• CDA or higher (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• Florida 45-hour Child Care Training (or willingness to complete within 12 months).
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Eligible through the DCF Fingerprinting Clearinghouse.
• Committed to supporting the mission, values, and Christ-centered environment of our faith-based preschool.

Job Type: Part-time (School Year)

Pay: $16-$22 per hour, based on education, credentials, and experience.
