ABOUT THE POSITION Court Reporters are responsible for providing accurate verbatim reporting of proceedings in all required or requested court hearings, which include civil, criminal, juvenile, and grand jury. Reporters are responsible for providing real-time reporting services to judicial officers, preparing transcripts in accordance with applicable Government Codes, Rules of Court, and Statues, and providing read back upon request.
Various positions available throughout LA County . This position is not eligible for telework opportunities.
SALARY Full-time: $11,117.91 - $11,423.18 Monthly
Part-time 3/5: $6,540.71 - $6,720.38 Monthly Daily as needed: $511.17 - $525.20 Full Day $250.60 - $257.49 Half Day Applicants with courtroom experience may be eligible for salary negotiation.

Options Benefit Plan
Benefits may be purchased using a tax-free monthly benefits allowance between $1,127.65 and $2,430.50 for the 2025 plan year (based on number enrolled in medical coverage). If the monthly cost of the benefits selected is less than the monthly allowance, the employee receives the difference as additional taxable pay, up to a maximum of $244.00. Leave Benefits
Vacation - All permanent and other designated categories of employees are eligible to earn paid vacation based on years of service. Vacation time may not be used during the first 6 months of employment.
Sick leave - Depending on the length of service and employment categories, up to one day of full pay per month of service is accrued monthly for qualifying service.

- Signing Bonus - $25,000

- The Los Angeles Superior Court offers a Finder's Fee of up to $15,000 for eligible employees. Court Reporter applicants may nominate up to two individuals to receive the Finder's Fee, with the amount split equally if two names are provided.
