Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher (required)

• Comfortable adapting teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans based on student IEPs
• Assess student needs and progress, modifying approaches as needed
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages student growth both academically and socially
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students as appropriate
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress tracking
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication with families
• Engage in professional development and remain current on best practices in special education
