Step into a rewarding contract opportunity designed for skilled Occupational Therapists eager to make a positive impact in elementary educational settings. This role takes place across two engaging school locations, focusing on young learners through the 2026-2027 academic year in the Racine, WI area. As an essential part of the special services team, you will work with a manageable caseload of 35-45 students, creating meaningful change during critical developmental years.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure (OT) in Wisconsin
- Strong background in school-based pediatric therapy, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Experience managing caseloads efficiently, ensuring compliance and individualized care
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborative intervention strategies
- Adaptability to work across multiple locations (no virtual/VOCO services)
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Commitment to 35 hours per week throughout the 26-27 school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to integrate OT strategies in the classroom
- Monitor progress and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support two elementary schools, bringing consistency and innovation to both environments
- Deliver services exclusively onsite, fostering trusted relationships with students and colleagues
