Senior Producer
Hatch
Join the Rest Revolution The world is wired and tired. It's plagued by screens, notifications, and the sense that you should always be doing ... something. But hey, you're reading this job application right now, so you probably know exactly what we're talking about. So here's a bit of good news amidst all the noise: Hatch is a sleep wellness company that's betting on rest in a culture obsessed with optimization. While most technology is designed to keep you engaged, our devices use the science of habit formation to help people unplug, unwind, and recharge. Through genuinely enjoyable routines, habit building, and gentle guidance (no sleep scores or wearables here), we help people build healthier sleep habits and feel the difference in everyday life. Ten years ago, we started with a mission to help parents navigate the complexities of newborn sleep. Today, we're helping more than 5 million people (and counting) take care of themselves and the people they love through the power of rest. We're open to candidates across the U.S. and Canada. However, please note that Hatch is based in California, so we just ask that you're available during PST/PDT hours. The Opportunity Hatch is seeking a creative, versatile Senior Producer to lead the production of premium audio experiences across our content portfolio - from meditations and sleep music to bedtime podcasts, audiobooks, and ASMR.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can move fluidly between disciplines. You might write or edit a meditation script, cast and direct a narrator, give a musician notes on a sound bath, assemble a rough cut in Pro Tools, or lead a project from early concept through launch.
You have exceptional instincts for pacing, tone, story, talent, and sound - and the ear to know when something is (or isn't) working and why. You bring a strong creative point of view, but you're equally comfortable collaborating, experimenting, and adapting your approach to the needs of a project. This role will report to the Director of Audio Production.
What You'll Do
We're an equal opportunity employer and committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Ready to Help the World Sleep Better? We'd love to hear from you! Apply now and join us in making great sleep a reality for all. E-Verify Hatch participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. Privacy Notice By submitting a job application at Hatch, you agree to our privacy notice, located here

What You'll Do
- Lead audio projects from concept through launch, owning the creative vision, production plan, and final execution.
- Write, edit, and shape scripts across storytelling, mindfulness, and other audio formats, ensuring a strong, cohesive voice aligned with Hatch's brand identity.
- Source, cast, onboard and direct narrators, hosts, practitioners, musicians and other creative talent.
- Develop pilots, test new formats, and evolve existing franchises across the Hatch content library.
- Build strong relationships with talent and create an environment where they can do their best work.
- Build and manage production schedules in Airtable, keeping projects moving without sacrificing creative quality.
- Work with Director of Production to resource projects effectively across internal and external teams.
- Collaborate early and often with Strategy, Development, Marketing, Design, and other cross-functional partners.
- Direct recording sessions and talent, and jump into Pro Tools to edit, assemble, score, or lightly sound design work when needed.
- Partner closely with sound designers, engineers, composers, and musicians to shape music and sound design.
- Anticipate what a project needs beyond the audio itself, from the metadata to the marketing assets to artwork and launch deliverables, and make sure the right people have the right context at the right time.
- Assemble rough cuts, give clear and actionable creative feedback, and ensure final audio meets Hatch's quality bar.
- Perform final quality control (QC) checks on all audio for platform and device playback.
- Maintain a high and consistent creative bar across the Hatch content library while helping evolve what Hatch audio can sound and feel like.
- Get to know the team, our production workflows, and the Hatch content library
- Understand what's currently in production and what's coming next
- Take the lead on at least one active project
- Identify opportunities to make our production processes stronger or more efficient.
- Independently lead projects from concept through delivery.
- Deliver high-quality pilots, scripts, and audio.
- Successfully launch your first project.
- Regularly contribute new creative ideas and opportunities for the slate.
- Develop new content that meaningfully strengthens and expands Hatch's brand identity.
- Help evolve existing franchises and identify opportunities for new ones.
- Identify and experiment with new approaches to audio, sound, light, and production workflows.
- Be a trusted creative leader and collaborator across the content team.
- 7+ years of hands-on audio production experience: Proficiency in writing, recording, directing, and editing high-quality audio. You know when to do something yourself vs bring in a specialist.
- Strong Creative Point of View : You have exceptional taste and a proven body of work to back it up. You use that point of view as a North Star while adapting to the audience, function, and creative language of each project.
- Excellent writing and editorial instincts. Regardless of subject matter, you understand tone, structure, pacing, and voice. You can make a script better on the page, and continue shaping it with talent in the room.
- A track record of great casting and talent development: Whether your working with hosts, actors, practitioners, experts, influencers, or artists, you know how to find interesting people and get their best work - not simply direct them.
- A strong musical ear. You're comfortable giving informed, specific feedback on music-forward content, and collaborating with professional musicians, composers, singers, and sound designers.
- A full-court view: You see a project from beginning to end and stay ahead of what it needs at every stage. You bring in the right stakeholders early, communicate the right context, and make sure both the content and everything surrounding it are delivered on time and positioned for impact.
- A team player mentality: You make the people around you better, teach generously, give clear feedback, celebrate great work, and identify opportunities for others to grow. You believe that the best creative teams operate as teams, not collections of individuals.
- A bias to action: You're creative, organized, communicative, and willing to step up and lead without being asked.
- Fearlessness and curiosity: You like learning new tools, testing unfamiliar workflows, and challenging the way things have always been done.
- Fluency with modern creative tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Granola, and other AI tools are already part of your workflow - or you're eager to make them part of it. You're thoughtful about where these tools can make creative work sharper, faster, and more collaborative.
- Exceptional communication: You know how much context people need and when they need it. You communicate clearly with creative collaborators, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership without over- or under- explaining, and you delegate with clarity.
- We're a certified Great Place to Work
- We help people sleep better. Our products make a real, meaningful difference in our customers' lives
- Our team is collaborative, fun, and full of brilliant minds, and you'll work with leadership that truly values every contribution
- We're backed by world-class investors (and growing fast)
- We're a remote-friendly work environment. We practice what we preach to give our employees better balance and more flexibility
- 100% paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees (80% for dependents, including domestic partners)
- Meaningful equity. You're an owner here
- 401(k) match with no vesting schedule
- 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
- 16 free therapy sessions (for you and one other adult in your life)
- Financial support for family planning
- Remote office and monthly internet reimbursement
- Friends and family discounts on Hatch products
- Exclusive discounts on travel, entertainment, and top retail brands
- Restore 3 helps you regulate your nervous system and tune into your circadian rhythm with unwind routines, science-backed sleep audio, and ambient lights
