Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong Java development background to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java development, automation framework design, API testing, UI testing, and CI/CD integration.

\n

The candidate will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java .
\n
• Develop automation scripts for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing .
\n
• Leverage strong Java programming and object-oriented development principles to build scalable automation solutions.
\n
• Create and maintain reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries.
\n
• Perform API testing using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
\n
• Develop UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks .
\n
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
\n
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes.
\n
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework and coding standards.
\n
• Work with developers to improve application testability and implement quality engineering practices.
\n
• Perform database validation using SQL .
\n
• Develop test strategies and automation approaches for complex applications and microservices.
\n
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation practices.

Required Skills

\n

\n
• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET / Quality Engineering.
\n
• Strong hands-on Java development/programming experience .
\n
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java 8+ features .
\n
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
\n
• Experience developing automation frameworks using Java .
\n
• Strong experience with REST API automation and testing .
\n
• Experience with REST Assured and/or Postman .
\n
• Strong understanding of JUnit, TestNG, or similar testing frameworks .
\n
• Experience with Maven or Gradle .
\n
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab .
\n
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines .
\n
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation .
\n
• Experience testing RESTful services, microservices, and distributed applications .
\n
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle.
