Job Summary
Ricoh is seeking a detail-oriented Document Scanning & Processing Specialist to support document preparation, scanning, quality control, and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will prepare documents for scanning, remove staples and paper clips, insert barcodes, scan documents using commercial scanning equipment, and verify image quality. Candidates with previous scanning, copy center, or document processing experience are preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other bindings, and inserting barcodes as required.
• Scan documents using commercial scanning equipment, including KODAK scanners.
• Inspect scanned images for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and quality.
• Compile, assemble, organize, and bind documents according to customer specifications.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction while meeting established production standards.
• Meet daily deadlines and productivity targets, including impressions per hour (IPH) and time productivity standards.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including clearing paper jams, refilling toner, and replacing machine oil as needed.
• Recognize machine error codes and promptly report equipment malfunctions to management.
• Complete production paperwork accurately, legibly, and on time.
• Maintain an organized workstation to prevent document assembly errors and ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate production issues, quality concerns, and equipment problems promptly to the manager.
• Follow established procedures and company quality standards while working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Collaborate with team members and management to ensure timely and accurate completion of customer orders.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Previous scanning, copy center, printing, or document processing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move boxes and supplies weighing approximately 20-30 lbs. Assistance is available when needed.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as business needs require.
