Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

This position supports the staff, instructors and operations of the College & Career Readiness (CCR) program.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a positive, professional image of College & Career Readiness.
• Provide customer service, in person and by phone for college staff and the public.
• Provide secretarial functions, including answering phones, filing, proofreading, sorting mail, copying and word processing/correspondence
• Set up meetings, including room reservations
• Order program supplies, as needed
• Support instructor and staff activities, as requested

Unique Functions:

• Input CCR student information into the college database
• Create and mail invoices for third-party billing
• Receive, submit, and track payments of CCR billing statements

Specific Skills Preferred:

• Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred)
• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Work effectively with staff and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
• Ability to adapt to frequent change
• Ability to manage conflict in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters

Technical Expertise Preferred:

• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.) required.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
