Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) Operating Room Nurse (BALTIMORE, MD)
The healthcare provider in the Operating Room specialty supports the assessment, treatment, and management of complex wound and ostomy needs within an inpatient, acute care setting. Responsibilities include specialized wound and ostomy care, dressing changes, and patient teaching. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with 8-hour days, for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS); Wound ostomy continence certification required (WOCN); current experienced wound care/ostomy nurse; must have ostomy experience; able to provide assessment and care for all types of surgical and traumatic wounds.
- Preferred Qualifications: 12 prior travel assignments; experience with EPIC.
- Additional Information: Delivers wound and ostomy care, including various dressing changes and wound vacs/wound vac dressings; accurately assesses, measures, and classifies wounds and other related skin conditions; performs patient teaching in an inpatient, acute care setting; no weekends; no call; no holidays.
