Senior Software Engineer, Engineering Acceleration

Salary: $180,000 - 270,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 6+ years of production software engineering experience, ideally at the MTS4/Senior level, in developer productivity, tooling, or platform engineering.
• We need strong command of Python and C++ in production Linux environments; familiarity with Go or Java is a plus.
• We look for experience building internal tools or developer-facing software and converting prototypes into supported, shared solutions, including Docker-based containerization for reproducible environments.
• We value fluency with AI coding tools to move quickly as needs evolve.
• We require hands-on experience designing clean interfaces such as gRPC, REST, and CLI for tools and services.
• We expect comfort using engineering metrics and observability tools, such as Prometheus, fb303, scribe, and t-digest, to identify friction and measure improvements.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• We build shared tools for high-toil engineering workflows, including triage, rebase/payload, and release, and take them from prototype to supported, documented, and reliable solutions.
• We use AI-powered development tools to prototype and iterate quickly while requirements change.
• We use engineering metrics to pinpoint workflow friction and improve developer velocity across the organization.
• We apply strong design and architecture judgment so fast-moving tools remain maintainable, correct, and safe to rely on.
• We write robust software and implement clean interfaces such as REST, gRPC, and CLI for the tools and services engineers use every day.
• We partner with Tech Leads and Managers to shape technical roadmaps for developer tooling.
• We mentor junior engineers, contribute through deep code reviews, and drive operational excellence through incident response, change management, and build observability.
• We work primarily in person and are expected to be based in our Santa Clara office in line with our policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
