Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy/Gastroenterology

Schedule

The position requires availability Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM. On-call availability for overnights and weekends is mandatory. Shifts may consist of either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.

Job Duties

Responding to patient inquiries and resolving concerns.
Monitoring and recording patient vital signs.
Administering sedation to patients prior to procedures.
Caring for patients during recovery following procedures.
Providing necessary medications to patients.
Completing required documentation, including patient notes and discharge paperwork.
Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies necessary for procedures.
Cleaning and sterilizing equipment prior to use.
Assisting physicians throughout the procedures.
Administering intravenous (IV) drips.

Requirements

Active New York nursing license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association only).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (American Heart Association only).
A minimum of 2 years of experience in endoscopy procedures.
Experience in telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification.
Proficiency in administering conscious sedation.
Expertise in IV insertion techniques.
Experience in recovering patients from general anesthesia.
Skilled in performing intake assessments for gastroenterology procedures.
