Assistant Manager

Job Summary Responsible for engineering cohesive and functional controls software programs for advanced packaging systems, machinery, and processes. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and cross‑functional teams to define project objectives, scope, technical requirements, and deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule. Key Responsibilities Plan and oversee the hardware development life cycle, ensuring efficient design and implementation. Collaborate with hardware engineers, controls technicians, panel build, and advanced validation teams to ensure seamless project execution. Program complex controls software systems with a focus on uptime, reliability, performance, and maintainability. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative software solutions. Develop and maintain software design documentation in compliance with departmental standards. Perform onsite commissioning to guarantee operational efficiency and meet customer requirements. Mentor and train level‑1 controls software engineers and technicians. Other duties as assigned by the Controls Manager. Qualifications 5–9 years of experience in controls software development. Proficient knowledge of palletizing concepts and automation. Strong programming skills in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, drives, and servos. Experience with line control in high‑speed packaging lines. Robotics programming skills for FANUC or Kuka, with palletizing experience. Understanding of industrial automation technologies (PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics). Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience. Physical & Travel Requirements Standing and sitting for extended periods. Exposure to high/low voltage environments. Exposure to elevations. Approximately 30‑50% travel required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
