The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and test equipment to meet specified operational standards and quality requirements.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during field service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to customer sites
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
• Certifications in specific manufacturing equipment (e.g., robotics, CNC machines).
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for service order management.
• Ability to perform basic soldering and circuit board repair.
