Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview We are recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at St. James Healthcare, a Level 4 Trauma Center in Butte, MT. The position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality care in a small‑town environment while working with a dedicated healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Work 12‑hour shifts, with nights preferred; 50/50 night/day split optional. Complete 142 full‑time 12‑hour shifts annually. Provide daily APP coverage from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Collaborate with St. Vincent Regional Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and other Intermountain Health hospitals. Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $402,144 with a production incentive and night shift differential. Quality bonus of $5,000 per year. Incentives: $25,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation bonus, and up to $100,000 student loan repayment bonus. PSLF eligible. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus retirement savings plans. Paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and annual CME allowance. Qualifications MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school. Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline. Active or unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one. Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process. Passion for emergency medicine and rural communities. 3 to 5 years of Emergency Medicine experience preferred. Open to nights.
