About The Role

We're hiring Occupational Therapists to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) and their families across Delaware through the state's Birth to Three (B23) Early Intervention Program under IDEA Part C. This is not a clinic or school-based role. You'll be visiting families in their homes and community settings, including childcare centers, parks, and grandparents' homes, wherever the child's daily life happens. Your primary partner is the caregiver, not just the child. Delaware's B23 program uses an evidence-based coaching model: your role is to build family capacity, embed sensory and motor strategies into everyday routines, and empower caregivers to support their child's development throughout the day. The goal is not to replace what the family does. It is to make what the family does more effective. If you are drawn to relationship-centered, family-focused work with very young children and you are comfortable working independently in community settings, this role is built for you.

The Setting: Services are delivered in natural environments as required under IDEA Part C, meaning the child's home, daycare, or community. You will carry a caseload across one or more Delaware counties, working alongside service coordinators and multidisciplinary EI teams to implement IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plans). Delaware is a small state, but your caseload may span multiple counties. Reliable transportation and comfort with independent, community-based practice are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

$45–$52/hour (W-2) based on experience

$62/hour (1099)

What You'll Do

- Deliver occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings

- Coach and support caregivers to embed sensory, motor, and functional strategies into daily routines

- Conduct evaluations and assessments to support IFSP development

- Develop measurable IFSP goals aligned with family priorities and child developmental needs

- Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, self-care, and functional participation

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IFSP reviews

- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Delaware B23 and IDEA Part C requirements

- Collaborate with service coordinators, SLPs, PTs, and other EI providers

What You'll Need

- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

- Active Delaware OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)

- NBCOT certification (OTR)

- Experience with pediatric populations, especially birth to 3, is a strong plus

- Familiarity with IFSP processes and IDEA Part C is desirable but not required

- Comfort with the coaching model and family-centered practice

- Reliable transportation for home and community visits across Delaware

- Strong communication, documentation, and independent practice skills
